About GeoHeat

GeoHeat Sustainable Energy Solutions

GeoHeat provides design and complete installation for Geothermal and Solar thermal heating and cooling for residential and commercial applications. Our solutions are tailored to the needs of our clients and it includes:

Geothermal Heating & Cooling

Geothermal heating and cooling best applies to residential buildings and commercial applications with balanced or simultaneous heating and cooling demand.  GeoHeat has the highest qualifications for geothermal system design in Australia.  Dr Amir Kivi has a PhD in geothermal engineering from The University of Melbourne, and he is one of only two certified geothermal designers in Australia with more than 7 years’ experience on more than 40 geothermal projects.

Solar Thermal Systems for Space Heating & Cooling and Hot Water

GeoHeat has partnered with Savosolar from Finland, who manufacture the most efficient solar thermal collectors in the World.  Solar thermal systems best apply to applications with high heating or cooling demand.  GeoHeat focuses mainly on large-scale applications, such as heating greenhouses, poultry farms and dairy farms which have heating as one of their major costs.

Building Energy Modelling/Energy Assessment

For all projects, it is critical to first determine the hourly energy demand for the building/application.  GeoHeat only suggests energy solutions that will provide the best real-world return on investment.

For new buildings, GeoHeat uses specialist 3D building modelling software to calculate the hourly heating and cooling load.  For existing buildings, GeoHeat uses the hourly meter data to assess the energy demand.  The data is then used in the design and feasibility assessment of a range of renewable energy solutions for the building.

The hourly energy demand data is also used to provide compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and to deliver an ESD report.

Feasibility Studies:  GeoHeat assesses the real-world cost savings from implementing a range of potential renewable energy solutions, to ensure that the client makes the best decision for their energy-saving investment.

Other Renewables like Solar Electricity and Battery Storage

Unlike other solar electric system installers, GeoHeat will not recommend solar electricity unless it is proven to be the most cost-effective solution for the client.  GeoHeat simultaneously looks at all renewable energy system types for each project, including combinations of solar electricity, battery storage, solar thermal and/or geothermal systems, using specialist 3D computer software.  GeoHeat also analyses the dynamic interaction between demand and renewable energy systems on an hour by hour basis.

GeoHeat Savosolar large scale solar thermal heating

GeoHeat is a design and installation company in Victoria with focus on sustainable energy supply. Our international team has extensive know-how and experience in solar thermal energy for large-scale heating, Geothermal heating/cooling, energy modelling and energy audit. GeoHeat has partnered with Savosolar to bring leading solar thermal technology to Australia and help its customers to produce competitive solar thermal energy. GeoHeat vision is to be the first-choice supplier to high-performance solar installations in Australia and New Zealand. The focus is on large-scale applications like heating green houses, poultry farms and dairy farms which have heating as one of the major costs. GeoHeat primarily delivers complete systems from design to installation and commissioning at the lowest cost.

For building and energy modelling, GeoHeat uses the most advanced modelling tool; TRNSYS. It allows GeoHeat to model the building/greenhouse and solar thermal, geothermal or any system of interest in a single model and analyse the dynamic interaction between demand and renewable energy system for hour by hour analysis.

Savosolar headquarter and manufacturing facility is located in Finland and have subsidiaries in Denmark and Germany. With its highly efficient collectors and large-scale solar thermal systems, Savosolar has taken solar thermal technology to the next level. The company’s collectors are equipped with the patented leading nano-coated direct flow absorbers. Savosolar is known as the most innovative company in the business and aims to stay as such. The company has sold and delivered its products to 17 countries on four continents. Savosolar’s shares are listed on Nasdaq First North Sweden with the ticker SAVOS and on Nasdaq First North Finland with the ticker SAVOH. www.savosolar.com.

GeoHeat has the highest skills in design and combining different sources of renewable energy including geothermal heating and cooling. GeoHeat is the only company in Australia to have Certified Geothermal Designer and with the recent design of a 10,000m2 solar thermal collector system combined with geothermal heating in Australia, GeoHeat is becoming the leading company in large-scale solar thermal solutions in the region. Australia has power prices as high as Denmark and annual average solar irradiation twice in Northern Europe. Combine this with an ambitious government renewable energy targets, Australia is the heaven for solar thermal systems. With recent Australia’s gas price hike, there is a huge potential for solar thermal systems to replace existing low-efficiency gas heaters in industrial and horticulture heating sector. GeoHeat is now offering a turnkey solutions for large-scale solar thermal systems and with current energy market in Australia, there is a huge potential for rapid growth in delivering projects for different large-scale heating and cooling energy sectors.

Our People

GeoHeat is committed to attracting, developing and retaining the right people who are highly competent, live the company’s values and actively contribute to our long-term success. Our workforce consists of people with diverse cultures, backgrounds and skills, and this diversity enriches our breadth of knowledge, capability and experience in sustainable heating and cooling design.
